Music Teacher

Job Descriptions

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  2. Teach students of all ages and skill levels in various musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and performance techniques.
  3. Incorporate elements of environmental stewardship and sustainability into music lessons, highlighting the interconnectedness between music and the natural world.
  4. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and outdoor education experiences.
  5. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves through music and develop confidence in their abilities.
  6. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth as musicians and individuals.
  7. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, upcoming performances, and opportunities for involvement in music-related activities.
  8. Actively engage in school camp activities.
  9. Carry out the other ad-hoc task which is given by the Employer if needed.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or any related field.
  2. Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  3. Previous experience teaching music to students of varying ages and backgrounds is desirable.
  4. Proficiency in playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments, including but not limited to piano, guitar, percussion, and voice.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  6. Embrace an open mind and thrive on continuous learning.
  7. Friendly with children.
  8. Willing to work with nature.
    Living/willing to move to Ubud or willing to commute everyday to Ubud
