“Watching your child perform on stage, under the gaze of dozens of eyes, and come home wearing a medal — it was nothing short of magical. Every parent dreams of seeing their child succeed, and honestly, I can’t think of anything more moving than that,” shared Nico, a member of the Operations and General Affairs team at Empathy School.
That child is Habeeba Dushenka Arsya, affectionately known as Shenka — a bright and energetic 5-year-old student at Empathy School who recently captured hearts at the Wimilia Open 2025, a national-level gymnastics competition held in Semarang.
The event, hosted at GOR Prof. Kamiso FIK Unnes, brought together 222 young gymnasts from 25 clubs and regional branches of Persatuan Senam Indonesia (Persani), showcasing rising talents from across the country.
“For me, the concept of ‘winning’ is not the most important thing that Shenka needs to recognize and understand. I’m glad she has seen for herself that commitment, hard work, and confidence are what have brought her to her position today,” Nico added.
Among them, Shenka shone brightly, winning in all categories she competed in, a remarkable achievement that highlighted her talent and dedication beyond her years. Her performance was met with admiration and applause — a proud moment not just for her family, but for the entire Empathy School community.
At school, Shenka is known for her love of gymnastics, dancing, playing games, drawing, and kicking a ball around with friends. She embodies the school’s philosophy of nurturing well-rounded, curious, and joyful learners.
“We’re incredibly proud of Shenka,” said one of her teachers. “She reminds us every day that learning and growing happen in so many beautiful ways — through movement, play, and the courage to try.”
Her achievement at the Wimilia Open 2025 is a heartwarming example of how passion, support, and play can shape confidence in young children. For Shenka, this is just the beginning — and we can’t wait to see where her little feet and big dreams take her next.
